Your journey begins with a pick-up from Kigoma town or Kigoma airport. From there, you will take a scenic boat ride across the stunning Lake Tanganyika to reach Gombe National Park.

Upon arrival, check into your government banda accommodation — simple, eco-friendly lodgings nestled amidst nature, designed to provide comfort while respecting the environment.

Spend the rest of your first day relaxing and soaking up the serene atmosphere. Take in the spectacular views of the lake and forest as you prepare for the exciting wildlife experiences ahead.

Day 2: Full Day Chimpanzee Trekking & Bird Watching
Wake up early and head out with your expert guides for a full day of chimpanzee trekking. Follow the forest trails deep into the park as you search for the famous chimpanzees that have been studied here for decades. Witness these intelligent primates in their natural environment, observing their social interactions, grooming, and playfulness — an experience that is both educational and deeply moving.

Along the trekking path, indulge your passion for bird watching. Gombe’s forest is alive with a vibrant array of bird species, including the striking African paradise flycatcher, colorful turacos, and majestic eagles. Day 3: Boating on Lake Tanganyika & Departure
Start your final day with a peaceful boating excursion on the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tanganyika. Enjoy breathtaking views of the forested hills and watch for wildlife such as hippos, kingfishers, and water birds along the shoreline.

After your boat ride, prepare for your journey back to Kigoma town or airport, carrying cherished memories of your time in this remarkable wilderness.
